Prep & Care
Start with clean, dry tools and gently shaped nails. Leave living cuticle skin intact.
Nails · Your at-home checklist
These are supplies and techniques to look for, not product recommendations or promises of an exact match.
Steps
- Gently shape the free edge; leave the cuticles intact.
- Start with clean, dry nails. Apply base coat according to its label.
- Apply thin coats of your chosen regular polish and let each layer dry.
- On a dry base, use a fine nail-art brush and a little contrasting regular polish to sketch the tip boundary shown in the reference. Work from both sides toward the center, then fill only the tip. Practice on a spare swatch first.
- Add top coat following its label and allow enough drying time.
Tips
- Mark the center of the almond point before drawing the two burgundy diagonals so the V does not drift to one side.
- Burgundy chevron tips. Use this original concept as a visual reference. The home version uses regular polish and does not reproduce extensions, raised decorations or specialist salon effects.
Before you begin
- Use only regular air-dry polish for this guide. Follow the product labels, ventilate the room and stop if irritation occurs. Do not use damaged or painful nails.
Aftercare
Follow each product’s drying and removal directions. Avoid using nails as tools; use hand or cuticle products only as their labels direct.
